According to Johansson, Disney initially said they were releasing Black Widow in theaters exclusively. Her lawyer is arguing that she’s lost out on 50 million dollars since Disney went back on their word and released Back Widow in theaters and Disney+ simultaneously.
If Disney’s found to be in breach of contract, then they should absolutely have to pay her whatever they owe. Nevertheless, to me, Scarlett Johansson sounds a lot like Lars Ulrich during the dawn of the Napster era. However, at the same time I’m also very much of the Goodfellas mindset…
